Halloween Hamburgers Recipe


Halloween Hamburgers Recipe

Ingredients:

1.5 beef; ground
6 cheese slices
6 burger bread buns; slice into two
Green or red bellpepper
6 leaves of lettuce
Pitted olives

Instructions:

Form olives, peppers & cheese to desired figures.

Create half inches thick beef patties. When you want to have it broiled, arrange patties on top of racks placed inside a broiler (beet should be at least 3-4 inches away from heat). Broil for about 10-12 minutes.

For panbroiling, put patties on Teflon skillet. Allow to cook for 10-12 minutes at mid-heat. Add pepper and salt to taste. Minutes before fully cooked, top w/ peppers, olives & cheese. Served in burger-buns lined with lettuce.

Iced Pumpkin Blondies Recipe


Iced Pumpkin Blondies Recipe

Ingredients:

2 1/4 c of flour (all-purpose)
2 tsps of pumpkin pie spice
2.5 tsps of baking powder
1/4 tsp of salt
1.5 c of sugar (packed, brown)
3/4 c of margarine or butter; soft
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 c of Pure Pumpkin
2 pcs of eggs (large)

For the Icing (Maple):
6 ozs of cream cheese; softened
2 Tbsps of margarine or butter; softened
2 c of powdered sugar; sifted
1 to 2 tsps of flavoring (maple)

Instructions:

Preheat oven (350 degrees F). Prepare 15″ x 10″ pan for jellyroll by greasing it. Mix salt, cinnamon, baking powder and flour on bowl and beat vanilla, butter as well as sugar using another container.

Drop eggs 1 by 1 on beaten mixture and continue beating. Add the pumpkin and slowly add the flour mix.

Pour mixture on pan and bake 20-25 minutes ’til fully baked (no crumbs will stick on wooden stick that was inserted into the middle of cake). Allow to cool in baking pan then pour icing on it before cutting into squares.

To create the icing, beat cream cheese, butter (or margarine) and sugar ’til smooth then add the maple (flavoring).

Jack O’Lantern Frosting Recipe


Jack O’Lantern Frosting Recipe

Ingredients:

1 white of egg
1/4 c of juice (orange)
3/4 c of sugar
1/2 tsp of vanilla
Pinches of cream of Tartar
Frosting
Food color (yellow and red)

Instructions:

Cook on double-boiler 1 white of egg, 3/4 c of sugar, 1/4 tsp cream of Tartar, 1/4 c of juice, 1/2 tsp of vanilla as well as the frosting.

Beat, using electricity-powered mixer, for ten minutes ’til mixture raises into peaks with the blades. Add drops red and yellow colorings to create tint of orange on lantern.

Mashed Potato Ghosts Recipe


Mashed Potato Ghosts Recipe

Ingredients:

5 c of mashed potatoes (Idaho)
1/2 c of small olives (black)
Waxed paper

Instructions:

Cut waxed paper into the shape of a ghost. Place on a baking sheet. Scoop mashed potatoes onto the shaped waxed paper. Follow the pattern then slice the olives, those will make its mouth and eyes.

If you want them warm, heat inside the microwave for 2-4 mins or heat inside the oven but cover with aluminum foil. Heat for 7-8 mins (350 degrees F).

Indian Corn On A Stick Recipe

Ingredients:

3/4 c of margarine
3 quarts of popcorn; popped
60 pcs of marshmallows (large)
1/4 c of peanuts or other nuts; chopped coarsely
1/4 c of coconut (shredded)
1 c of dried fruits (raisins, apples, pineapple, apricots, cranberries, etc); chopped

Instructions;

On low flame, allow marshmallows and margarine to melt. Pour mixture on popcorn then add dried fruits, nuts as well as coconut.

When cooled, mold mixture to a 6-inch long corn shape and place it on greased baking sheet (or wax paper) and let it set.

While the marshmallow remains sticky, add dried fruits and nuts on it, resembling various colors of kernels. Insert stick, dowel or skewer in end and let it cool.

Once marshmallow becomes ready, wrap it using cellophane then tie it, if wanted. This recipe creates about 6 – 7 serving portions.

Halloween Pumpkin Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
3/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of powdered cloves
A cup of pureed pumpkin
1/2 cup of walnuts; chopped
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup of shortening
1.5 cup of sugar
2 pcs eggs
1 & 2/3 cup of flour

Instructions:

Combine, sugar, shortening, eggs, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and ground cloves. Add in water, walnuts and pumpkin.

Oven for about 55 mins at around 350 deg. Fahrenheit in a loaf-shaped pan or ’til stick inserted is particle-free when pulled out.

Halloween Party Cheesecake Recipe


Halloween Party Cheesecake Recipe

Ingredients:

3 oz candy coating (vanilla-flavored)
Small colorful Halloween-figure shaped decorative candies
Color paste (orange)
1 tube frozen whipped topping for desserts; thawed
1 lb & 14 ozs store-bought frozen cheese cake; thawed

Instructions:

In small-sized saucepan, soften your candy coating. Drop in food color paste. Place in one bake sheet lined w/ wax paper. Spread forming a 11 x 8 inch rectangle.

Let it chill inside refrigerator ’til firm (30 mins). Break it into pieces, then set it aside.

You reserve a half-cup of whipped topping. Spread the remaining whipped topping on top of the cheesecake. Dust with Halloween-shaped candies. Have rest of the candy-coating attached to cheesecake edges using the topping.

Red Devil Salsa Recipe


Red Devil Salsa Recipe

Ingredients:

2 pcs of ear corn (kernels shaved from cob)
3 Tbsps of olive oil (and 1 tsp for the baking sheet)
1 pc of bell pepper (orange)
1 pc of mango (peeled and pitted); diced
1 pc of hot pepper (red); seeded then diced finely
1/2 onion (red); diced finely
5 Tbsps of juice (freshly squeezed from 2 limes)
1 tsp of salt
15 1/2 oz of beans (black, canned); rinsed then drained

For the Tortilla Spikes:
1/4 c of olive oil
12 pcs of tortillas (flour)
1 tsp of chili powder
1.5 tsps of salt (coarse)

Instructions:

Preheat the oven at 450 degrees F. Brush the cooking sheet with one teaspoon of oil.

Place the corns on the cooking sheet then roast till kernels are slightly brown or about ten mins. Set aside and cool.

Roast the pepper till the sides are charred. When done, place it in a bowl and cover it with (plastic) wrapper.

When cooled, wipe the charred surface with paper towels. Remove seeds and stems. Dice the pepper and place inside a mixing bowl.

Mix in the beans, corn, half of mangoes, hot pepper, (lime) juice, salt, onion, and oil. Toss well. Chop the rest of the mangoes finely till it looks like thick puree; add into the salsa and stir.

Heat the oven at 350 degrees. Combine chili and oil inside a bowl. Smear the tortillas using the oil mix then sprinkle a little salt.

Slice the tortillas to strips (1 inch wide) then arrange them on 2 cooking sheets (single layer arrangement). Bake for 8-10 mins or till they turn slightly brown. Bake the sheets separately.

Ice Cream Cone Cookies Recipe


Ice Cream Cone Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:

18 packs of cake mix (chocolate, 1/4 ozs)
1/2 c of oil
1 1/4 c of water
3 pcs of eggs
5 c of powdered sugar; sifted
3/4 c of shortening
30 pcs of cones (small & flat-bottomed)
1/2 c of margarine or butter; softened
2.5 Tbsps of milk
1 1/4 tsp of almond extract
Food color (orange or red plus yellow)
Candies & sprinkles (assorted)

Instructions:

Preheat the oven (350 degrees F). In bowl, mix chocolate cake mix, 1 1/4 c of water, 1/2 c of oil and 3 pcs of eggs based on package instructions.

Pour batter 2.5 Tbsp batter into cones and arrange them on ungreased cookie sheet, 3 inches apart. Bake for 25-30 minutes then allow to cool.

To create icing, combine the rest of the ingredients and beat ’til smooth. Decorate cupcakes with icing and add sprinkles and candies before it hardens. Keep in sealed containers.

Jack O’Lantern Pie Recipe


Jack O’Lantern Pie Recipe

Ingredients:

1 c of water (boiling)
1 pack of Jell-O gelatin (orange)
1 pint of ice cream (vanilla); softened
Crust of crumb (6 ozs)
Cool Whip (thawed)
Candy (candy corn)
Licorice (black); cut to 1-inch slices

Instructions:

Dissolve gelatin with water (boiling) in bowl. Scoop ice cream to gelatin and stir ’til smooth and melted.

Place inside the fridge for ten minutes ’til it achieves the consistency of egg whites that are unbeaten. Scoop mixture into the crumb crust and refrigerate for three hours ’til it is firm.

Prior to serving, create jack-o-lantern designs on the pie using whipped Cool Whip, licorice and candy. You can refrigerate leftover.
