Creepy Witches FIngers Recipe

Creepy Witches FIngers Recipe

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 teaspoon of baking powder
3/4 cup of almonds (whole); blanched
2 & 2/3 cup of flour
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of confectioner’s sugar
1 piece of egg
Small tube of decorating gel (red)
1 teaspoon of almond extract

Instructions:

Using a medium-sized bowl, mix sugar, extract, vanilla, butter and egg. Blend in dry ingredients. Beat well, put on covered container and have it refrigerated for half an hour.

With a teaspoon that is full of previously made dough, form a finger-shaped cookie. Then press an almond at the cookie tip, resembling a nail.

Then, squeeze the center of the cookie forming a shape of a knuckle. Create several slashes with the use of a very thin-edged knife.

Lay on minimally greased bake sheets. Allow to bake for twenty-five minutes at 325 degrees F. Once baked, cool cookies for a few minutes.

Remove almond and squeeze decorating gel into the nailbed then press back almond, allowing gel to ooze out.

Repeat procedure with the remaining portions of the dough. Yields: 5 dozens.
